She is survived by her brother, David Chartrand, her three children Marie-Louise, Barrett Jr. and David, as well as an extended family of 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and a nephew.

After graduating from Newton High School, she earned an arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. After marrying Barry, they moved to Bronxville, NY, then to Stamford, Connecticut, where they lived for 33 years. In 1986, ANDREE designed and built her house south of Orléans. She is an Emeritus Member of the Orleans Improvement Association, a longtime member of the Orleans Yacht Club and the East Egg Neighborhood Association, and has served as Treasurer for several organizations.

Andrée loved birds and always had a cat, was a competent reader, loved her mystery television series and excelled in art and architecture, designed the Pocket Park on Main Street in Orleans. An avid supporter of the arts and a world traveler, she has developed a high degree of skill in many arts and crafts. But what we will miss the most is Andrée’s willingness to help others and her always warm smile.
