SALINE COUNTY SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM STARTS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1 | KMMO

Powerhouse Community Development, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, announced the Saline County Summer Meal Plan for people 18 and under.

There will be multiple pick-up locations throughout the county on weekdays from June 1 through August 31:
In Marshall-
11:30 a.m. to noon – Deer Creek Apartments, Pinewood Circle (formerly Vest Circle), Handy Chapel Community Center, the YMCA and the CL Stephenson Building; and
12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. – Mallory Place, Birchwood Circle (formerly West High Circle) and Maplewood Circle (formerly West College Circle).

To Slater
11:30 a.m. to noon – Slater Community Building;
12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. – Slater Parks and Recreation; and
1 to 1:30 p.m. – The Slater Housing Authority.

According to a flyer, eligible Saline County residents with disabilities over the age of 18 can also eat during these times. Eligible persons with disabilities over the age of 18 are persons who are determined by a state educational agency or local state public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled or who are participating in a public or private school program at nonprofit established for the mentally or physically disabled.
